Hunter Flying Ltd

News Article

Well, we have had a very busy year so far.

We have finally finished the restoration and return to flight of G-PRII (WT723) which is now the oldest flying Hunter in the world. She is now in Gloss Black  to mark the 50th anniversary of the 22-Hunter Loop at  Farnborough in 1958, a world record still held to this day. She did an excellent display at this years Farnborough Airshow in July with Chris Heames at the controls. She also did some further displays at Silverstone for the Classic Car Weekend.

We have imported and assembled an L39, Strikemaster and Yak 50 all of which were imported from South Africa and will be operating them in the UK.

We are now as a result approved to undertake Yak maintenance and repair, so if you would like more information please contact us.

We took delivery of a Fairey Gannet (G-KAEW, XL500) early this year. This aircraft is currently undergoing a total restoration project and we are aiming to getting her back into flying condition. So will post regular updates and a feature article soon.
